Are there any rules of etiquette?

Yes. Honor the environment with silence; it is one of tranquility and relaxation. Remember that your treatment will end on time so that the next guest is not delayed. The use of cell phones, cameras and electronic devices are best left out of your spa experience. Don't cheat yourself out of your relaxation time.

 

How should I handle gratuities?

Gratuity is accepted and appreciated for all treatments and services. Treatment and package prices do not include gratuity. Cash is preferred and credit cards are accepted.

Do I need to make an appointment?
Yes, to ensure you receive all the spa treatments you want, when you want, not only is advanced booking suggested, it is highly recommended. Guests may book up to one month in advance of their arrival. Some treatments may not be available every day. Call our reservation desk at 561.400.8823 to reserve your appointments for spa, health and fitness. Sweet Waters Cleansing & Spa does not accept SpaFinders Gift Cards.

 

What if I arrive late to my appointment?
Arriving late will simply limit the time for your treatment, thus lessening the effectiveness and your pleasure. You should reschedule if you will arrive more that twenty (20) minutes late for Colon Hydrotherapy appointments.

 

Should I avoid the spa if I am pregnant?

Your physician can best advise you on which treatments are safe. We also suggest that you avoid treatments using deep pressure and heat.

What if I have some physical ailment, disability or allergies?
Please notify the spa receptionist at the time you are making your appointments and your therapist at the beginning of your treatment. You will be informed if treatments are not recommended.

 

What should I tell my treatment provider?
At Sweet Waters Cleansing & Spa all guests receiving spa treatments have not only the right, but also the responsibility to communicate openly with their therapist, aesthetician or colon hydrotherapist about their service during the treatment. Any special expectations, personal preferences and/or possible concerns about how a treatment is progressing should first be addressed directly with the individual who is providing the treatment during the treatment.
In addition, you have the obligation to let your therapist know about any health related conditions that could potentially cause you discomfort or harm during the course of your treatment. This would include, but is not limited to, pregnancy, recent surgeries, diabetes, injuries, high or low blood pressure, heart conditions, shellfish or iodine allergies, and any other allergies.
All of our services are designed to nurture, relax, restore and meet your specific needs. We welcome your input and feedback.

 

What is the Cancellation Policy?
Twenty-four hour (24) notification is required for all canceled or changed spa appointments to avoid a cancellation fee of $35.00. 

Teen Policies

Young adults between the ages of 12–17 may freely enjoy the following without the supervision of a parent or guardian: Foot Detox & Guided Meditation.

Young adults must be supervised by parent or guardian while participating in Spa Services including colon hydrotherapy, massage and body treatments, facials or any one-on-one services.

How do I determine which facial to choose?
Our Skin Therapists are trained to customize each of our facial treatments for your particular skin through skin analysis. This may mean that will receive the facial more suited to your skin type and condition.
 

Should men shave before a facial?
No. Shaving is recommended but please be sure to do so at least two hours prior to your scheduled appointment.


Will I be able to purchase the products that are used in my treatments?
Yes. We carry a wide array of professional spa products so you can keep up the benefits at home.

Can I choose to have a male or female therapist?
Yes. If you have a gender preference, please advise the spa at the time of making your appointment.


Should I shave my legs before my massage?
Shaving is recommended but please be sure to do so no less than four hours prior to your scheduled appointment. Certain products may irritate newly-shaven skin.

I have a Groupon, how do I make an appointment?
Yes. If you have a Groupon, you can make an appointment online any time of day or by calling into the reception desk during office hours. A credit card will be required to hold the appointment time. 

 

I have a Groupon from your old location. Can I still use it?

No. Groupon has informed us that unused vouchers have been refunded to the voucher holders. Please contact them for refund inquiries. 

What days can I use my Groupon?

Groupons are honored during standard office hours. Tuesday - Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. ***Groupons are not accepted after hours nor on Sundays.*** 


Why do I need to put a credit/debit card on file to book my appointment if I have already purchased a Groupon?
When booking an appointment for Sweet Waters Cleansing & Spa a credit card is required to hold the appointment as general spa policy. You may cancel your appointment without charge up to 24 hours preceding your appointment. Same day cancellations will be charged 40% of the standard rate for the scheduled service price. You can still use your Groupon at a future appointment.

My Groupon has expired. Can I still use it?

Yes, you may. Sweet Waters Cleansing and Spa will accept the price paid for the Groupon as a coupon towards any service at the standard rate.

How often can I use a Groupon?

A person my use a Groupon every 90 days. 

What else is colon hydrotherapy known as?
Colon hydrotherapy is also known as colonics, colonic irrigation, high enema, and colon therapy.

How many colon hydrotherapy sessions do I need?
One colon hydrotherapy treatment (cleansing) is better than not having your colon cleansed at all and a series of 3 within a 30 day period is better.

 

However, after years of improper diet, medications, and lack of exercise, the colon can hold on to matter and abuse cannot be reversed in just one treatment. Therefore, it is of great value to get several sessions. A series of 3, 6, or 12 may be needed to completely cleanse the colon. Your colon therapist will be able to determine the number of sessions needed after working with you the first time. This will be determined by your medical history and the assessment of the release of matter and the colon hydrotherapy session itself.

Once an initial cleanse takes place, it is suggested to follow up with routine maintenance cleanses. One suggestion is to schedule your maintenance cleansing at the change of seasons. For other people, and individual preventative maintenance plan of weekly, monthly, etc. will be determined depending on one’s health issues.

Are there any preparations prior to the session?
Yes. The day of the session we ask that you refrain from eating a full meal 2 hours prior to the session. However, you can snack on light food such as fruit. Please refrain from a large intake of fluids 30 minutes prior to the session.

What should I eat after a session?

AFTER Your Treatment FOR AT LEAST 24 HOURS:
    Drink Plenty Water & Other Hydrating Fluids
    Replace Intestinal Flora
* Probiotics: Friendly bacteria which live in the gastrointestinal tract to assist in keeping the tract clean and keep down the growth of yeast and other harmful bacteria in the colon
    Eat Soups & Warm Foods
    Plenty of Vegetables
* Cooked Veggies Are BEST
    Eat Your Fruits Separate from Meals
    Reduce Heavy Meat Consumption
    NO DAIRY PRODUCTS
    NO ALCOHOL

 

How long does the colon hydrotherapy session last?
Plan on being at our facility for 1 hour. The colon hydrotherapy session itself is 25 to 45 minutes as each person's body is different. The consultation lasts for 5 to 10 minutes to allow the therapist to answer any questions you may have and ask a few of their own to ensure a truly customized and effective treatment. 
 

What if my menstrual cycle begins at the time of the colon hydrotherapy appointment? 
Your menstrual cycle is a good time to receive a session, since your body is already in a natural state of cleansing. Your flow will not interfere with the success of the treatment. Just inform your therapist that you are on your cycle before you begin your session.

 

What is the difference between an enema and colon hydrotherapy?
An enema only reaches the rectum and lower part of the colon (sigmoid colon), whereas colon hydrotherapy cleanses the entire length of the colon, about your height from finger tip to the soles of your feet when your arms are raised above your head. Colon hydrotherapy is many more times effective than an enema. According to Dr. Norman Walker, “One colon irrigation is equivalent to 30 enemas.”
